During the blustery winter months, I love to spice up my style with new shades of makeup. As my wardrobe shifts to mostly black, I add in new shades of eye shadow and blush to brighten up the (sometimes) cloudy winter days.
For definition and fun, I opt for bold violets and navy in my eye shadows and mix them with soft neutrals of pearl and champagne. I often line my eye with a color shadow, like navy or eggplant, and fill in the corners with the same color before adding a light color inside the eye lid up to the brow. Given my lack of sun kissed skin during winter, I add in a golden bronzer or darker blush to apply to my cheekbones, nose tip, forehead and chin. The slight color addition brings a soft glow perfect for the season.
