Just when I thought Spring temperatures were here to stay, a front moved into Charleston on Friday and left a cool (and damp) afterglow on our weekend Easter festivities. Fortunately, I knew better than to pack away all of my winter items, so I was prepared with long sleeve shirts atop base layer tanks. To simplify the changing of seasons, I’m sharing a few tips on keeping Spring in mind when cooler temperatures interrupt our sunny days.

The most important component of the layers I love: a generous cut and 3/4 to full length sleeves. Easy silhouettes make it easy to add in camisoles or t-shirts underneath and a light vest on top if needed. To block out the morning chill while maintaining a fresh Spring look, I search for three external components: bold colors, fun patterns, and elegant texture. (Chilly weather doesn’t have to mean dull clothing!)

Stay bright,
