napins
As a child, I looked so forward to opening my lunchbox and finding a “napkin note” from my Dad or a colorful post-it from my Mom. Even into adulthood, my grandparents sent handwritten birthday cards and “just because” mail (all of which I’ve saved in a special place marked “joy box.”)

In an increasingly digital age, I find myself spending a lot of time searching for unique paper and writing tools. (My top two stationary sites for beautiful design and quality paper are www.minted.com and www.tinyprints.com). Depending on the occasion, I look for simple designs and distressed paper for a vintage and “story like” appeal. For more whimsy and casual, I tend towards bright colors and patterns for added fun.
