Summertime – barefoot on the beach, and relishing every ounce of sunlight. For me, choosing shoes this time of year means keeping that free and delightful feeling all day long.
When looking for summer shoes, I have quite a few criteria in selecting the ideal pair. I search for an open heeled and airy sandal that can dress up or down with ease. My eye is often drawn to a sandal with cutout patterns for breathability and slip on straps for comfort.
Also important in my sandal selection – support! Sandals with flat bottoms (and no support) leave my lower back smarting. I hunt thick soles with plenty of cushion to take me through a beautiful summer day in comfort. I like a durable fabric that can withstand long walks in town, as well as the splatter of the ocean. And when it comes to color – neutral or bold…I’ll take both!

Happy trails,

Gosh, I love my DAWGS this time of year! These cushioned vinyl wonders are easy to clean and cool to the feet with little nubby massagers on the insoles. I just wear them in the shower to clean them. From the beach and back they are by far my Go To summer shoes.
So glad! Nothing like a comfy pair of shoes for the summer….
love your slippers, reorder them frequently. however; i HATE your Shadowline garments. CHEAP quality. ordered and returned. So
disappointed that you even carry them. To each their own I guess.
I wear the dearfoam slipper. they wear fairly well considering I
rarely take them off except when I go to bed. Of course do not
recommend you wear them outside as they are not meant for that.
wish you could get a better quality to offer rather than Shadowline.
Thank you for your feedback, Ruth. We will certainly pass that along to our merchandising team. We carry many other brands of sleepwear. Have you tried the National brand? We’d love to know what you think! Thank you for being a valuable member of the National family.
