For the last two weeks, I have been shaking off my first of what I’m sure will be many colds this season. To lessen the severity, I rely on a few natural remedies. Diffusing oils like peppermint and eucalyptus can support those of us with severe sinus congestion. I even rub a bit of coconut oil and eucalyptus together, place on the bottom of my feet, add socks and grab some sleep. Sure enough, I make it longer through the night without trips to the bathroom to blow my nose!
Humidifiers are great additions to a home – for anytime of year. Especially in dryer winter months – when colds are more prevalent – we have one running regularly to keep colds at bay and moisture circulating.
