Thankfully, today is far from “just another Monday.” We are enjoying the cool breeze of fall and gorgeous crisp Carolina blue skies after a weekend of torrential rain and devastating wind.
Today, we’re home safe from Hurricane Matthew evacuations.
My husband and I spent the weekend in Lexington, safely away from the storm’s dangerous approach to Charleston. Before the rain bands made landfall, we spent the majority of our afternoon outside – relishing the sunshine and enjoying the crisp breeze of a fall day. I didn’t pack a lot of clothes on our quick trip up north – just enough to get us through the weekend. Thankfully, Mom came through with a new lightweight long cardigan from Simply Noelle and coordinating leggings (featured in last week’s blog!) This look provided comfort, warmth, and easy styling when my suitcase was….lacking!
This long sweater pairs easily with a tank or t-shirt for warmer days or a long sleeve shirt for extra layering. The 3/4 length sleeves style well with all options (just see my version with the tank above and Mom’s with a longer sleeve shirt!) Pair with leggings or jeans and finish off with high boots – easy and out the door you go!
