Master’s Week. The Green Jacket. It is the most highly anticipated sporting event in the Wilson household (second only to UNC/Duke match ups of course!) Attending the Master’s ranks at the top of our bucket list. Until such a dream becomes reality, we enjoy “couch cheering” and eagerly await the tremendous nearby tournaments that come our way after the Master’s. Last year, we enjoyed two incredible trips to witness fantastic golf: The RBC Heritage Tournament and the US Open.
The RBC Heritage Golf Tournament, located just two hours south of us in Hilton Head, provides great entertainment and a beautiful setting for spectators. It is a relaxed environment with fantastic viewpoints and rare opportunities to meet the golfers. Given its close timing to the Master’s, several players choose to take the week off. However, for those that found a hot streak in the Master’s, look out for fierce competition at the Heritage.

The US Open changes location annually. Always in a breathtaking place with a challenging course, the US Open showcases upcoming talent against long standing “big dogs.” In 2014, we enjoyed the Open from historic Pinehurst, North Carolina. This year, players will cross North America to play at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.
A MAJOR bucket list check – our first trip to the U.S. Open!
Whether or not your a fan of golf, this season brings about the ideal time to be outdoors…not to mention, a great excuse for sporty outfit additions! Curious about tournament dress code? Check back this Friday for Elissa’s take on the classic spectator outfit!
