This past weekend, we had some pretty stunning 70 degree days – a special treat living on the North Carolina coast. I enjoyed some great time outdoors with our little ones before another cold front moved in with some heavy rain showers. Cozying up with my family this week, I am excited to hunker down for rainy day movies and (many servings of) hot chocolate. It’s hard to believe, friends…Christmas is around the corner.

We will be celebrating our first Christmas at home this year, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Upon having our first child, we knew Christmas mornings at home would eventually be a treasured tradition. We love traveling to see friends and family throughout the holidays….and….we love being home. Our oldest is 3.5 years old, and she is absolutely in the Christmas spirit. Between letters to Santa and gingerbread house building, the magic of the season is evident, and we can’t get enough of her joyful spirit. When I think about seeing her walk down the stairs to see if Santa actually built the piggy bank she’s been dreaming of for months….gosh it feels better than any Christmas gift I can imagine receiving.

You know from previous posts that loungewear pieces are a staple for me as a mom of three kids. Currently, I have this soft and luxurious smocked lounger on rotation. Available in navy or ivory, this gown has a (very) comfortable fit and is the perfect weight for a crisp morning (similar to this cardinal snap robe).

As we countdown to Christmas, you’ll find me lounging in comfort, relishing time with our kids. I hope you and yours can press pause on the traditional hustle and bustle of the holidays, and cozy up with the ones you love.
