Y’all. It’s the sixth day of 2016…and I’m already on coffee cup number 2/considering number 3. I adore coffee, and while the caffeination is a big part of my love affair with this dark drink, it’s the warm and roasted taste that really captures my heart. I’ve seen coffee grounds used in turkey gravy and leftover drip coffee poured into compost. In all its glorious versatility, I realize I’ve barely scratched the surface on all this powerful bean can do.
Coffee beans are the second most traded commodity – after petroleum. So clearly I’m not the only one addicted to the good stuff! In an effort to taper back on the caffeine and relish the taste for what it is, I’m taking on a few new baking challenges this year. Today, I’m sharing recipes from my all-time-favorite cooking site, Epicurious, that I’ll work to perfect in the chilly winter months of this brand new year.
