This week is a BIG WEEK! The always fashionable, forever graceful, and oh-so-loving Lynda Swann is celebrating a birthday! In honor of her big day, we’ve asked her to spill the beans on her style – a look that’s all her own!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Ageless eclectic!
Q: When you’re looking for new clothes, what qualities do you consider?
A: For me to purchase something, it has to be both compelling and functional. Because I work, I look for comfort. I also want it to be stylish and unique. I love to mix classic and trendy in a way that creates an exciting new look.
Q: Who most influences your style?
A: My daughters! They both have very different styles but we are all the same size, so it’s fun to share. Once, on a family vacation, both my suitcase and my daughter Lanier’s were lost. Fortunately, Parker had hers so all three of us lived out of hers – since she tends to overpack. My daughters keep me young and current, and we love sharing our style together.
Q: What are some of your favorite pieces at National today?
A: The flannel button front dress in black and white buffalo check (paired with my favorite black boots) is great for this time of year. The Simply Noelle 3/4 sleeve pocket cardigan is ideal for both the work day and evenings out (especially the light blue for UNC games!) The UltraSoft 3/4 sleeve knit polo is a comfortable and easy shirt to keep on hand as a basic – in all the colors! The side stitch pocket tunic from Simply Noelle is another I love to have on hand all season long. Depending on my mood and the occasion, I sift through our available scarves and jewelry for a complete look.
Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts with us, Momma Lynda! We wish you a wonderful birthday and a stylish year ahead!
