By now summer barbecuing is in full swing. Being from Lexington, my family and I never miss an opportunity to barbecue something—be it chicken, turkey, or the favorite that the town is known for, pork. The July 4th holiday was no exception. We fired up the charcoal grill for BBQ chicken halves. See the picture below (warning: your mouth may start to water and that’s okay!).
While we always have some version of barbecued meat, I’m always looking for new ways to complement the ‘cue via interesting side dishes.
